On 6th March 2023, the CORE-MD consortium organises its second webinar addressing the origins and objectives of European regulations for medical devices.
Prof Alan Fraser, from the European Society of Cardiology will provide a historical view on European legislation on Medical Devices. Ass. Prof. Tom Melvin, from Trinity College, Dublin, will cover the emerging discipline of regulatory science. Moderated by Per Kjaersgaard-Andersen, the webinar will offer valuable input on past, current and future challenges on medical devices.
During the discussion, Paul Piscoi, European Commission DG SANTE and Prof. Nelissen, Leiden University Medical Center, secretary general of EFORT, will provide insight on needs of regulators and the role of clinicians in the debate on medical devices.
